2/26th Battle Flag

The battle flag of the 2/26th Battalion was sewn by the girls at All Hallow's Catholic School in Brisbane. It consisted of the Battalion colours centred on a white background. The Battalion colours were purple on blue and grey. The regimental flag of the 2/26th Battalion of the Eight Division, carried after the Fall of Singapore, was hidden from the Japanese at Changi prisons and in the work camps along the Burma Thailand Railway.
